Black to Basics

Cooler weather, pumpkin picking, halloween, and next thing you know the Holidays are here. Winters are my favorite but living in Texas means that I don’t get real winters, I do not let that get in the way of layering and switching up my wardrobe for some more “fall” appropriate looks!

I love layering!! even in the hottest days. There is something about putting 3+ pieces of clothing together that gives me a sense of glamour, and let’s just say…it makes me feel like I actually put a little effort when picking my outfit, Am I the only one?!

I went out and about gathering some new pieces to add to my wardrobe and I will be adding more looks into my fashion category here, but the first one had to be everyone’s go to…All black everything! believe or not I have never been a big fan of all black, I think black is the easy way out when you don’t know what to wear, so again I don’t feel like you have to put too much thought into this looks. Recently I realize that wearing all black doesn’t mean that you have to loose your own personal style. When putting together your all black outfit you can make it your own by adding a statement necklace or earrings, a hat, a scarf, a pop of color with a handbag, or even with your shoes, the possibilities are endless.

For my look I went with a thin black long sleeve shirt that I found at Nordstrom rack, Black leather leggings (you need to find a new pair every winter), Suede Black tall boots and as my pop of color a red belt bag to create a sleek but still fashionable look.

Do you have any go-to all black outfits that you love on the regular? what do you use to personalize it?
